Program Overview

K9 ATF provides specialized training for detecting a wide range of explosives, including commercial mixtures, military-grade ordnance, and improvised (homemade) compounds. Our methodology focuses on safe handling, proximity alerting, and extreme environmental stability for bomb squads and security details.

Explosive Mixture Detection

Our canines are trained to recognize the chemical odors of multiple explosive agents:

Military Ordnance

TNT, C4, RDX, and PETN based explosives.

Commercial Dynamics

Dynamite, blasting caps, and commercial gelignite.

Homemade (HME)

TATP, HMTD, and nitrate-based improvised mixtures.
